Letting It Ride by Kate Campfield: Author Interview

An Interview with Kate Campfield, author of Letting it Ride

About the book:

  1. How did you come up with the story of Letting It Ride?
I’ve never been on a cruise and have always wanted to! I love the brother’s best friend trope and a cruise and the Bahamas just seemed like the perfect setting for Cam and Addie to realize their mutual attraction.
  2. What was the writing process for this book?
I get my books done SO far before they’re published that it’s hard to remember not everyone is on the same book as me! I have a couple amazing editors that absolutely rip my work to shreds and help me put it back together. I’m also smart enough to know that cover design is NOT my strong suit- I had a designer do all the covers for Betting on Love together so I’ve had the covers ready to go for a while 🙂
  3. Which scene was your favorite to write?
Ooh that’s a tough one! I loved the one in the pool and then anything in the Bahamas. As far as the spicy scenes, my favorite was toward the end at Cam’s apartment.
  4. Where can readers purchase your book?
My paperbacks and ebooks are available on Amazon. I’m planning to offer signed copies on my website soon, but for now, contact me at kate@katecampfield.com for signed copies- or come find me at an upcoming book signing (I’ll be at Reader Take Denver in February 2025)!
  5. What are some upcoming projects you are working on and can tell us about?
I’m working on the fourth book in Betting on Love, although the fifth book is burning in my brain ready to be written! Book 3 in the series releases May 31st and so far has been my favorite to write. I’m also writing the second book in a brand new series that will be available this fall.

About you:

  1. If you can travel to any place in the world, where would you go?
    The Bahamas!
  2. What were some of your favorite reads in March 2024?
King of Wrath by Ana Huang, Two Wedding Crashers by Meghan Quinn, The Housemaid by Freida McFadden
  3. If you could eat one food item for the rest of your life, what would it be?
    Pasta. Carbs 4 life.
