Summary: The Devil knows your name, David Aristarkhov.

As a teen, David Aristarkhov was a psychic prodigy, operating under the shadow of his oppressive occultist father. Now, years after his father’s death and rapidly approaching his thirtieth birthday, he is content with the high-powered life he’s curated as a Boston attorney, moonlighting as a powerful medium for his secret society.

But with power comes a price, and the Devil has come to collect on an ancestral deal. David’s days are numbered, and death looms at his door.

Reluctantly, he reaches out to the only person he’s ever trusted, his ex-boyfriend and secret Society rival Rhys, for help. However, the only way to get to Rhys is through his wife, Moira. Thrust into each other’s care, emotions once buried deep resurface, and the trio race to figure out their feelings for one another before the Devil steals David away for good…

The first book in a spellbinding and vibrant new series from The Sunday Times bestselling author of A Dowry of Blood.

Review: This is the first in the series following a psychic prodigy who made a deal with the Devil and not he’s here to collect and David needs help from his ex-boyfriend. This was a fun story following three different povs. I do have to say that the plot and the world was a bit confusing for me. Oftentimes, I would be lost but this time to give the book a chance, I used the internet to know more about it. There were many conflicts in the book and I loved the gothic theme throughout the story.

This is David’s book and he’s the MMC of the story. He never asks for help but now he needs it. I liked his development and seeing him grow. Then we have Rhys who married to Moira. He wants to help David but doesn’t want to ruin his marriage. I liked learning about him but he doesn’t develop in this book as I’m guessing it will happen in his. Moira is the FMC who wants to help David and it doesn’t mind an open relationship. There are side characters in this book and this book includes a polyamorous storyline.

The ending was good and brought a new opening for a new book. It was a fun read and usually not the style I would pick up so I enjoyed it. I also got the special edition which made it so much more fun to read with the ribbon. I recommend checking out this book.
