Review: This book is about two enemies of different social circles who have to quarantine together during the start of COVID-19. When I first got this book, I didn’t know what it was about. I picked it up because it looked like a cute chritmas read. I was wrong but I was still fine with. I enjoyed this book in the beginning but I felt that the book went downhill. I enjoyed how fast paced the book was but there weren’t many conflicts in the book. There were things that felt relatable when I was stuck at home for so long but the problem for me in this book was the characters.

This book is written in Cam and Eli’s pov and they are basically the only characters in the book including the side characters they would call or text. I have to say that I was annoyed with Cam’s character. I couldn’t understand her as she was a mix of bratty and nice. I did enjoy her development as she understood that she needed to learn some basic home things. Then there is Eli who I first liked but honestly he just wanted Cam from the beginning. He didn’t have much character development as all he wanted to do was woo his long time crush and enemy. The side characters were only featured by call or text and you will figure out who the next book will be about. The romance tropes is enemies to lovers, brother’s best friend and long time crush and honestly it was such a weird combination of both. Like they crushed on each other for so long that they hated each other over time. I didn’t fully comprehend what their backstory was. I still don’t see them as a couple as Cam just wanted to have sex during a boring time and Eli was gladly to be the one as he’s been in love with her a while.

The ending was well done and readers get an epilogue of who the next book is about. I might read the next one but not sure if it will be anytime soon. I know the second is stuck in a winter storm which might be interested. This book could have been better with more conflicts as all it was about them cooking and watching tv. I know that’s basically what we did but I didn’t want to read a bland story.
